Photo Assignment:
Finding the Unusual

Share Your Photo Results With Us

The aim of this photo assignment is to learn to look around finding the unusual in a scene and presenting your viewer with a fresh angle . Note that statues and inanimate objects present an intriguing opportunity to make visual comments perhaps through comparisons between like objects or contrasting shapes and sizes.

For a helping hand, the photo gallery above shows examples of how this concept is utilised by iconic photographers such as Elliot Erwitt and Henry Cartier-Bresson.
