: From Beans to Cups through your Lens

Do you love coffee? Is photography one of your life's passions? If these qualifications fit you, now is the time to combine these frequently enjoyed activities and really make them fun!!!

After the success of Bitter/Sweet Coffee Fantasy Book, Boncafe - Thailand's leading one-stop coffee solution provider and the publisher of the Bitter/Sweet newsletter, has organized another book project which, this time, you can be a part of by sharing your photographic talents. Because we believe that a picture speaks a thousand words, we would like to create a unique and diverse coffee photo book that exhibits a variety of photos of coffee and coffee related themes, that are inspired by creative and exceptional ideas and able to capture the vibrant culture of coffee through a camera's lens. With this book, we are able to express the enthusiasm we have for coffee and also dedicate it to the coffee lovers who appreciate its hip culture. So, let your imagination run free, pick up your camera, come up with cool creative ideas and be a part of our Boncafe's Expresso Yourself Photo Contest today!

Objective
To create and promote a good and fun activity for the public. Also, to encourage photographers who have creative and skilled ideas and concepts and the talent to produce inspired photos. To bring all the photos together to create a photo book portraying diverse perspectives.

Who is Eligible?
Anyone can participate. The contest is not limited to professional photographers. Everyone who enjoys coffee and taking pictures is encouraged to share their coffee experiences through photography.

Number of Entries
Each entrant is allowed to submit a maximum of 5 photos

Conditions
1. Every photo must have at least one coffee ICON visible - mug, machine, spoon, etc.

2. The smallest side of the printed photo must not be less than 12 inches (e.g. 12*16, 12*18, 13*20, 15*20). Each photo should be glued onto 16x22 inch black cardboard with the following details in English or Thai attached to the back of the cardboard: Name, address, contact number, e-mail address, photo title and a brief description of the photo (no less than 2 lines).

3. Entries can be taken by a digital camera or film (size 135 or 120). The file should then be written onto a CD and submitted as color or black/white photographs in JPG format with the image resolution of no less than 6 million pixels and no less than 300 dpi.

4. Adjusting colors, contrast, white balance, sharpness, removing elements or visible flaws on skin or materials that will improve the quality of the image is acceptable. Extreme retouching that distorts the original picture is not allowed. If adjustments are made, each entrant has to submit both original file and modified picture onto the CD listed above (i.e. pic01_original and pic01_contest) Any images with severe manipulation will be disqualified. 5. Entries must not contain signatures, brand names or trademarks; either Boncafe or none.

6. No plagiarism. Entrants may not submit images created by any person other than themselves.

7. The submitted photography must never have received any previous award nor have been published before.

8. Each entrant may submit up to 5 photos but will only be eligible to receive one prize.

with the subject Boncafe's Expresso Yourself Photo Contest or submit it in person to the address above starting from today until June 30, 2011.

10. The winners will be announced via email, posted on the www.boncafe.co.th website and in the Bitter/Sweet newsletter Issue 15 Volume 4 by August, 31 2011.

11. Employees of Boncafe, including their relatives, and judges of the contest are not allowed to participate in the Boncafe's Expresso Yourself Photo Contest.

12. The judging process will be neutrally and impartially judged. Decisions of the judges are final and binding.

13. Those who do not follow the rules and conditions of Boncafe will be disqualified.

14. For those who are not selected for an award, you may receive your work back between 16-31 August 2011 from 9.00am-6.00pm at

15. Boncafe can select any of the submitted photos to show at the exhibition and/or publish in the Boncafe photo book. All photos will give credit to the photographers.

16. All the award-winning and selected photos will be the property of Boncafe and can be republished for any publication that Boncafe deems appropriate.

17. Boncafe reserves the right to adjust rules and conditions as deems appropriate.

1. Concept & Content 30 points
2. Artistic 25 points
3. Creative idea 25 points
4. Photography technique 20 points

Prizes
There will be an attractive prize for all selected entries and special awards for the top three photos. All selected photos will be published in Boncafe upcoming coffee photo book!

First Prize includes:
